AAMCI Development, LLC to Host Indian Hills Apartments Ribbon Cutting and Renovation Celebration
$6.5 million rehabilitation of Indian Hills Apartments homes will be celebrated September 24.
AAMCI Development, LLC will host a ribbon cutting and renovation celebration at 2 p.m. on Thursday, September 24, at Indian Hills Apartments, located at 48 Indian Hills Circle, to mark the completion of the property’s $6.5 million rehabilitation. The 52-unit affordable housing property serves low-income families in Greeneville.
The rehabilitation modernized apartment interiors with new cabinets, countertops, luxury vinyl plank flooring, light fixtures, HVAC units, ENERGY STAR windows, appliances and exterior doors. Property-wide improvements include new siding with board-and-batten accents, new landscaping, a new playground, a picnic shelter, a monument sign, and an expanded community room.
“Indian Hills Apartments has long been a cornerstone of affordable housing in Greeneville,” said Joe Engle, President of AAMCI Development. “We’re proud to invest in this community and deliver meaningful improvements that will enhance residents’ quality of life for years to come.”
For resident Nevaeh North, the renovation carries special meaning. North grew up at Indian Hills Apartments and now lives there with a family of her own. “The property rehab has meant so much to me and my family. My children love the new playground, and my favorite part is the new countertops, which give the apartment a new modern vibe,” North said. AAMCI Development, LLC completed the rehabilitation with support from a 2024 9% Low-Income Housing Tax Credit allocation from the Tennessee Housing Development Agency. It is the most extensive rehabilitation completed within AAMCI Development, LLC’s portfolio to date.
AAMCI Development, LLC is inviting residents, community leaders, elected officials, first responders, local organizations, project partners, and neighbors to celebrate this milestone together. The program will include remarks from community leaders and project partners, a formal ribbon cutting, guided property tours, and refreshments afterward. Guests planning to attend may RSVP to Dusti Cobble at dusti.cobble@aamci.com.
